2011 03 03 - Meet the Wine Maker: Friedrich Becker (Pfalz) - Germany's Top rated Pinot Noir wine maker at MAGMA on Thursday, 7.30pm

Germany's top rated Pinot Noir wine maker Friedrich Becker (Pfalz) will be in Singapore only for short time.

Since 2001 Friedrich Becker has been always rated as "Best German PINOT NOIR wine maker". He makes also excellent RIESLING, PINOT BLANC and red BLENDS.

His Pinot Noir Tafelwein (table wine) vintage 2007 was rated by Gault Millau with 97 points. It is also available at Magma (only 9 barrels was made). At Magma there is also the "Hommage" Pinot Noir available, a wine, of which only 1 barrique barrel was made and which is the best of Friedrich Becker (not rated due to the small quantity).

His basic Pinot Noir "B" was awarded as "Best red wine - single variety Old World" by "American Express/Tower Club 2010".
