Presented by The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS) and International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) in celebration of their 60^th Anniversary, ’Children of the World’ is a world premiere of an exhibition of 137 selected images of children growing up under various circumstances around the world. The works of 120 photographers from 39 countries supports UNESCO’s efforts in raising awareness of underprivileged children. The visuals are chosen entries from the competition organised by the PSS, with prominent judges hailing from England, Malaysia and Singapore. After its debut in Singapore, the exhibition will travel to FIAP’s Headquarters in Paris.

The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS) and International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) come together this March in celebration of their 60th Anniversary to showcase the world premiere of Children of the World exhibition at the ION Art Gallery.

The exhibition is the first-of-its-kind to be launched in Singapore, featuring 137 selected images of children growing up under various circumstances around the world. The works of 120 photographers from 39 countries supports UNESCO’s efforts in raising awareness of underprivileged children. The visuals are chosen entries from the competition organized by the PSS, with prominent judges hailing from England, Malaysia and Singapore.

Featured photographs include pieces by Singaporean photographer, Than Joo Kit, who won the Silver award for his piece, Scavenger Boy of Smokey Mountain, Macau’s Ma Chi Son for his piece, Dancers, which received the PSS 60th Anniversary Award, as well as Italy’s Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche, who won the FIAP 60th Anniversary Award. After its debut in Singapore, the exhibition will travel to FIAP’s Headquarters in Paris.
